Saturday, October 7 – 19th Annual Celebration of the Long Pond Greenbelt. 10:00AM – 1:00PM.  Rain or shine. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt (FLPG), the Peconic Land Trust, & the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo).  Bring the children for a morning exploration at the 19th Annual Celebration of the Long Pond Greenbelt! Enjoy guided trail walks, play games, make crafts, and participate in a wide variety of activities provided by local environmental and community organizations including: Children’s Museum of the East End, Peconic Land Trust, Group for the East End, FLPG, Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons, Hampton Library, Perfect Earth Project, SoFo, Long Island Native Plants Initiative, Long Island Nature Organization, Quality Parks, The Nature Conservancy, Southampton Parks and Recreation. 10:00am – hike with naturalist & birder Jim Ash. 11:00am – meet the animals of the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center.  12:00pm – search for reptiles with Snakeman Chris Chapin.
